Manage and ensure compliance of standards for the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of IATF16949 facility process documentation, work instructions, process flow/PFMEA, control plans and audit plans. Oversee on time launch support, as well as ensure that plant, customer and supplier concerns are being addressed

Job Responsibilities:

· Support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of IATF16949 process. Document and support development of work instructions, process flow/PFMEA, control plans all PPAP documentation and audit plans. Oversee and ensure quality support is provided for OEM alerts and forever requirements, etc. as needed. Support of APQP process and act as Voice of the Customer (VOC)..

· Document and analyze measurables including monthly KPI’s, CARs, audits, supplier cost reduction efforts and customer score cards. Ensure monthly KPI’s are completed and support quality cost reduction efforts. Support the completion of internal audits for LPA’s, IATF16949, etc. Ensure responses to customer concerns / corrective actions and warranty claims are properly completed and submitted. Oversee the support of supplier concerns with Quality Specialist, issue GIMS and SCARs through customer sites when directed by supplier, otherwise through the Ground Effects Quality Management System. Navigate and assist with regular customer website maintenance via Covisint, e-supplier connect, etc.

· Oversee and ensure compliance of Quality Management System. Ensure dates for assigned plant visits are being coordinated and follow up on plant performance issues to ensure they are being addressed. Oversee the support for supplier launches and/or concerns. Ensure proper management of customer specific programs such as Q1, etc. Ensure key dates and launch requirements at build plant are met. Oversee the tracking for internal, external and supplier issues, and reported out monthly

· Other duties or tasks may be assigned.

Qualifications:

· Bachelors Degree in in Quality Engineering; Preferred-Masters Degree in Quality Engineering

· 5 to 8 years of TS16949 or IATF16949 experience. Preferred-8 to 10 years of quality management or leadership experience with an automotive manufacturing background. 5 or more years of experience with TS16949 or IATF 16949, Quality Audits, and experience with tier 1 level submission for PPAP for all quality documents. 3 or more years of Environmental Management System and OSHA Requirements

In this role, you will be performing preventive maintenance on machines throughout our plastic injection molding facility. You have a strong mechanical background and a good understanding of basic electricity, pneumatics and hydraulics. You have excellent troubleshooting and teamworking skills, possess a positive health and safety attitude and are passionate about continuous improvement.

What You Can Expect From the Role:

The responsibilities of the Machine Maintenance team member are as follows:

  • Ensure that all preventative maintenance is carried out in a timely manner as per schedules. Any PM activity which results in longer downtime than originally scheduled must be reported to the Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Ensure that all preventive maintenance performed is documented on the PM worksheets or on PM Check sheets.
  • Worksheets are to be handed in after all applicable PM work is complete, check sheets are handed in on the last working day of each month.
  • Ensure that all machine breakdowns are given prompt attention and troubleshoot for the cause of the breakdown. All repairs are to be performed and properly documented.
  • Perform electrical repairs to machinery and/or building requirements.
  • Ensure that any safety issues arising due to machine maintenance are immediately attended to.
  • Inform the Maintenance Coordinator of all parts requirements in regards to preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure that employee Preventive Maintenance activities are taking place and documented on PM Check sheets. Inform the Maintenance Coordinator of any situations where this is being neglected.

  • Two years community college in a related field or equivalent work experience.

In this role, you will be performing Process Technician functions on machines throughout our plastic injection molding facility. You have a moderate level of experience in the plastic injection molding field and are able to work independently to dial in, and changeover molds. In addition, you have an understanding of machinery and processes and are able to perform general maintenance as required. What You Can Expect From the Role:

The responsibilities of the Process Technician team member are as follows:

  • Monitor, verify and approve the production process(es) in conjunction with Quality Inspectors.
  • Provide feedback and assist to dial in each mold for optimal cycle time and quality.
  • Ensuring production requirements are met per forecasted schedule.
  • Ensure all safety practices are followed and maintained.
  • Continuous supervision of the shift and its personnel, while ensuring adherence to all procedures and maintenance of clean and safe environment.
  • Record and report to management any downtime, scrap, manpower issues, and equipment failures.
  • Ensure Job Setup.
  • Problem solve with Quality Inspector any high scrap or quality concerns.
  • Perform mold changes using approved checklists and procedures.

  • Documentation of all process changes and/or deviations from standard processes (including press changes as necessary).
  • General maintenance as required.

What Qualifications and Skills Do You Possess?

  • Certified Lift Truck driver preferred.

  • Good understanding and experience with IATF and ISO requirements.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Ground Effects is currently searching for an Ecoat Technical Manager to join our Production team in Windsor, Ontario.

What You Can Expect From the Role:

The responsibilities of the Ecoat Technical Manager team member are as follows:

  • Assign Daily work instructions and coordinate production requirements to supervisory staff
  • Ensure that 5S and Kaizen Housekeeping practices are adhered to
  • Maintain communication with other roles of responsibility (Ecoat Line Technician, Ecoat Facility Supervisor, etc...)
  • Investigate documented daily inspections and provide guidance for any appropriate corrective action involving unsafe conditions
  • Ensure that only authorized individuals are operating equipment
  • Initiate progressive discipline actions, according to policy
  • Work closely with the J.H.S.C and assist as required
  • Work closely with the Plant Manager to ensure that production is running effectively and efficiently
  • Provide leadership and direction to production supervisors
  • Document and analyze audits pertaining to 5S and Kaizen, ensuring shop floor cleanliness
  • Ensure daily check sheets and performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner


What Qualifications and Skills Do You Possess?

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Must be familiar with IATF 16949 requirements, ISO awareness, 5S and Kaizen policies and significant Environmental aspects such as waste management.
  • Must be familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Computer literate – Excel, Lotus, Word, Vantage (asset)

The following working conditions are present or expected on a daily basis:

  • Manufacturing environment
  • Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times while on the production floor
  • Travel may be required
  • Ability to conduct presentations
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
